Several of the Arthur Roger Gallery artists have employed “grid patterns” in the composition of their work at various times in their careers. This use of the grid was an integral component, for example, in many paintings by Ida Kohlmeyer. In a more tangential, yet apparent sense, the works of several other gallery artists have also been suggestive of grids. The “Grid Coordinates” exhibition brings together works by Luis Cruz Azaceta, Willie Birch, Jacqueline Bishop, Douglas Bourgeois, Clyde Connell, John Davis, Ersy, Jeff Forsythe, Ida Kohlmeyer, Paul Lucas, Francis Pavy, John Scott, Matthew Sontheimer, Al Souza, Allison Stewart, Dan Tague and Edward Whiteman.
