Tim Hailand creates dreamlike portraits that embody his appreciation for the idealized human form and portray his interest in the visual construction of identity. He prints his photographic images directly on to patterned fabrics, a method inspired by the Toile de Jouy wallpaper from the living quarters during his residency at Monet’s Giverny.
