Jesús Moroles created granite sculptures on both a small and monumental scale, combining cutting and polishing techniques with the natural presence of the stone. Each of his pieces has a balance of polished surface and raw surface, where the stone was torn. He achieved a poetic resonance of material, form and motif though working with a stone of such great density, hardness and weight. He described his work as a discussion of how man exists in nature, touches nature and uses nature.
