Amy Weiskopf, who is known primarily as a still life painter, values the close intimate space of the familiar tabletop. Her compositions are deliberate yet spirited and invite the viewer to consider the relationship of the subjects to each other and to the whole. Her mastery of color and tonality is profoundly apparent in her work.
Born in Chicago in 1957, Amy Weiskopf received her B.F.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and her M.F.A. from the Tyler School of Art, Temple University, PA.
