Stephen Paul Day lives and works in both New Orleans and Berlin, Germany. He studied painting at the Ecole Des Beaux Arts in Paris in 1982 and has worked with such artists as: Jenny Holzer, William Wegman, Dennis Oppenheim and Deborah Butterfield.
Day has had many exhibitions internationally, including work in Paris, Japan and several shows in Berlin. He is included in many museum collections including the The Montreal Museum of Art, The Kurokabe Museum in Nagahama Japan, The Corning Museum, and the Laussane Museum in Switzerland. He has received numerous grants including a Pollock-Krasner grant, two Joan Mitchell Foundation grants, a Warhol Foundation grant and many others.
Stephen Paul Day collaborates with his wife Sibylle Peretti as Club S+S. They have shown internationally in Germany, France, and most recently at the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans for NOLA Rising. They were also the first recipients to receive a Kohler Arts residency as a collaborative team.
Stephen is represented in New Orleans by the Arthur Roger Gallery and in Berlin at Galerie Hirschmann.
