Arthur Roger Gallery presents Bunny Matthews, a major exhibition celebrating the original pen-and-ink drawings, colored pencil works, and social satire of the legendary New Orleans cartoonist, writer, and cultural icon (1951–2021). Best known as the creator of the iconic Ninth Ward couple Vic and Nat'ly Broussard, Matthews captured the working-class humor, local dialect, and vibrant spirit of New Orleans across four decades. Coinciding with the release of the definitive hardcover biography by Alison Fensterstock and Michael Tisserand and an institutional retrospective at The Historic New Orleans Collection, this exhibition highlights Matthews' graphic wit, masterful line work, and enduring cultural legacy.
