Debbie Fleming Caffery

Debbie Fleming Caffery was originally renowned for her dark and haunting images of the sugar cane culture of south Louisiana where she has lived since her childhood. In recent years Debbie Fleming Caffery has broadened her geographical horizon and her subject matter. The body of photographs in this exhibition focuses on aspects of life in rural Mexico, particularly the experience of dancers and prostitutes. The exhibit also includes photographs of birds native to Mexico and New Mexico.
