The Arthur Roger Gallery is pleased to present Post-Modern Pharming, an exhibition of mixed media sculptures by W. Steve Rucker. The exhibition will be on view at Arthur Roger Gallery, located at 432 Julia Street, from November 30 – December 26, 1990.

W. Steve Rucker is a New Orleans sculptor known for his environmental installations, and his pyrotechnic sculpture. He is presently an associate professor in the Fine Arts Department at Loyola University. For this exhibition, Steve rucker is creating “Post-Modern Pharming,” the third in a series of major mixed media art and installations. The work is composed of ceramic and steal components, glass, driftwood, and audio tapes employing music compositions compsed by Rucker specifically for the installation.

“Post-Modern Pharming” provides visual metaphors on a range of issues including the artistic experience of middle age, mass media’s influence on contemporary culture.
