Bob Snead

Bob Snead graduated Cum Laude in 2002 from the College of Charleston with a BA in Studio Art. Soon after he formed Redux Contemporary Art Center in Charleston and remained founding director of the organization until 2005 when he left to pursue graduate studies at Yale University School of Art. After receiving his MFA in 2007, he helped form the traveling artist collective Transit Antenna and spent the next two years developing community based art projects across North America. He is currently Executive Director of the visual and literary art collective Press Street, an organizer of the Hand-in-Glove Conference, and a board member of Common Field for artist centric projects and spaces. He has exhibited with Deitch Projects, the Aldrich Museum, Jack Tilton Gallery, amongst many others, and currently continues a rigorous studio practice in New Orleans.
